I'm Back!

Wow! Sorry I disappeared for so long! Between changing diapers, burping, feeding, and running after my toddler I haven't had time for ANYTHING! I did get back to the studio a bit and I have a couple of pictures to share...

Mazel Tov! Baruch Hashem I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy 3 weeks ago! Obviously I took portraits of him during the first few days....Here's a sample of his newborn pictures...

Boys, Boys, Boys

I've been having so many boys in the studio lately. I wonder where all the girls are... The truth is, these boys are so gorgeous k"h, that I don't miss the girls all that much ; ) Bright blue eyes, long blond hair....What else is there?

Back at work!

It's great to be back in the studio again- bigger and better than ever before! I've been busy non-stop and I'm really enjoying it. It would be nice though if the weather would be a drop warmer....but hey, you can't have everything! : )

There were lots of little (and some big) cuties in the studio these past few weeks, and I have some of their portraits ready to share with you. 

I also have some exciting news- I'm going to be taking school pictures at Bais Yaakov Ateres Miriam in a couple of weeks! Anyone from BYAM who would like to book a session in my studio for their family, will get 20% off the sitting fee.

Grand Re-Reopening!

Ever heard of a Grand Re-Reopening? I'm not exactly sure what you call it when you reopen a business in another country and then reopen it again after a hurricane flooded it... Either way, the great news is that I'm back in business! The first 10 customers still get a free sitting! ($50 value!!!) We will also be having many other specials so keep checking back and hurry to book your session!

Aside from that, I've still been busy with product shots for the Brownie Box website that I mentioned earlier. The website isn't finished, so I can't share the link yet, but you can get a sneak preview of the most heavenly home baked goods in the world!

 

Hurricane Sandy

So remember how excited I was that my brand new studio is right off the beach? And remember how I said I worked for months and finally finished working on the studio and setting up all of my brand new equipment? And I finally had my first ad come out 2 weeks ago?
Well that was two days before the storm...and two days before the whole Far Rockaway got flooded and wrecked. The water in the studio came halfway up the walls, the closet doors are soggy, and one of my backgrounds has a very big watermark. And it doesn't say Perfect Poses. ; )  
Baruch Hashem, I was cautious enough to take out my equipment before the storm. But I didn't think the water would go very high, so although everything was on shelves, a lot of my props are waterlogged at the moment.
So that's the story folks... I have no idea how long it will take to fix it and have the place up and running again but I'll keep you posted.
Meanwhile I've been staying in Brooklyn because my own apartment has no power but I haven't been doing nothing. I got my first product photography job and although I need to invest in some better macro lenses, I'll still let you see some samples of what I did.
And hey, maybe this whole wreck was really a good thing, now that I'm starting to learn product photography....
